Trusts (including Special Needs Trusts)

Trusts are not just for the wealthy and not everyone needs one, but they can be an effective tool in estate planning and asset management, especially for persons with special needs or a disability. Trusts provide for management of your assets during your lifetime and provide direction for how those assets should be dispersed or managed upon death or disability.

Over the years, we have come to specialize in certain types of Supplemental Needs Trusts or Special Needs Trusts. These types of trusts are used to manage assets for a person who may receive public benefits. Such a trust can provide funds for items not covered by such benefits without affecting the recipient’s eligibility for the various benefits programs. For any Trust, we will put the needs of the individual first.
